Identifying Characteristics

Tufted herb to 40 cm high. Leaves are grass-like, silvery and stalkless, between 4-12 cm long and arranged alternately on the stem. Leaf surfaces are covered in soft white hairs. Large papery everlasting type flowers 4 cm wide. Flowers November-December.

Distinctive Features

Single papery flower heads on the ends of long stems. Yellow centre with surrounding papery white petal-like bracts.
