Identifying Characteristics

Erect tufted herb 0.4 m long and 0.5-1 m wide. Leaves are shiny green, round or kidney-shaped, 3-8 cm long and paler or purplish below. Open flower heads are found at the end of a long stalk to 1.3 m. Flowers are 1.9-4.3 cm wide and yellow in colour. Flowers October-March.
