Identifying Characteristics

A medium delicate tufted grass to 35 cm tall. Flower head of open branching clusters, almost equal in width and length when mature. Leaves to 30 mm long and 2 mm wide. Flowers August-December.

Distinctive Features

Leaves covered in soft hairs. Individual flower clusters (spikelets) on long stalks.
