Identifying Characteristics

Erect, aromatic shrub to 2 m. Branchlets are covered with sparse cottony hairs and erect gland-tipped leaves. Inflorescence to 9 cm long with a dense cluster of deep red to pale brown florets to 3.5 mm long. Flowers February-April.

Distinctive Features

The inflorescence may appear drooping.
