Identifying Characteristics

Herb to 30 cm tall with one to several flowering stalks, each with just a single flower head. The leaves are erect and mostly in a basal tuft to 60 mm long. The inflorescence is pale yellow and spherical up to 22 mm in diameter. Flowers late winter and spring.

Distinctive Features

Pale yellow, spherical flower heads. There is only one single flower per flower stalk.
