Identifying Characteristics

Large, densely tufted tussock grass, 30-80 cm in height, with flowering stems to 1.5 m. Leaves fine and rough, up to 80 cm in length and 1-3.5 mm in width. Leaf colour typically grey-green. Flowers October-February.

Distinctive Features

Large tussocks. Identification of Poa species can be difficult.
