Identifying Characteristics

Tufted slender grass to 60 cm tall. Leaves to 25 cm long, bright green. Flower head an open pyramid shape to 20 cm long. Flowers November-May.

Distinctive Features

Spikelets (stems with flowers) are densely packed, up to 12 cm long.
