Identifying Characteristics

A herb with a taproot. Leaves to 30 cm in a basal rosette. A cylindrical spike of flowers to 12 cm long is produced. Flowers spring and summer.

Distinctive Features

Leaves have one vein. Corolla tube is hairy in the lower half.
