The fruit is yellowish-red and a pyramidal shape, 8-14 mm long. Grows mostly on Eucalyptus species, often in the box group, but may also grow on Acacia species.

Identifying Characteristics

Pendulous aerial shrub with linear to elliptic opposite leaves to 35 cm long and 30 mm wide. The inflorescence is an umbel of triads with all flowers with stalks or in groups of four with central flowers sessile. The corolla is red, 15-28 mm long. Flowers mainly December-June.

Distinctive Features

The foliage superficially resembles eucalypt foliage, however the leaves are generally a dull yellow-green colour.
