Identifying Characteristics

An erect or ascending herb growing from 25-60 cm tall. Pinnate leaves with five or more pairs of leaflets. More hair on the underside of the leaf than on the top. Fruit bears small spines. Flowers and fruits September-April.

Distinctive Features

Distinguished from Acaena echinata by the hairy leaves.
