Rail fence

Keeping out vehicles will reduce rubbish dumping on the site and reduce injury caused by tyres to plants and small animals.

Keeping vehicles out makes it harder for people to collect rocks from the site. Rocks provide habitat for animals such as lizards and invertebrates.

A post and rail fence will not keep out domestic or feral dogs, cats or foxes.

Feral animals eat native grassland animals including dunnarts, bandicoots and lizards.
