Identifying Characteristics

Rosette-leaved herb with simple or branched stems 15-80 cm high. Stems are mostly smooth. Lower leaves are oval in shape, 5-20 cm long and 1-4 cm wide, toothed along the edges and usually covered with stiff hairs. Flowers are yellow, 5-15 mm in diameter. Flowers spring-autumn.

Distinctive Features

An erect weed with oval shaped leaves with toothed edges. The toothed and hairy leaves distinguish this species from the native Plains Yam Daisy Microseris scapigera, which has only a few, small teeth or lobes.
